YANA KORETSKA
ABOUT ME
I was born on July 12, 1994, in Kremenchuk, Ukraine. My journey in the world of art began with a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from Poltava National Technical Yuri Kondratyuk University in 2015. A year later, I earned another Bachelor’s degree in the History and Theory of Arts (external form) from the Lviv National Academy of Arts.
In 2017, I graduated with a Master’s degree in Mural Painting from the Kyiv National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture. This education provided me with both practical and theoretical foundations that continue to inspire my exploration of artistic heritage and the deeper motives behind creativity.
Since May 2015, I have been working as both an artist and an art teacher, sharing my passion for creativity with others. In 2021, I curated the exhibition “Moments of Inspiration” at the Lesia Ukrainka Museum in Kyiv.
After moving to Ireland in March 2022, I continued my artistic journey through community and charity initiatives — including workshops such as “Paint for Peace” at the RHA Gallery and “MyArt Studio” in Dublin. I also contributed to public art projects, painting murals like “Stand with Ukraine” at Grand Canal Street Art Alley and an educational mural for children in Portlaoise City Park.
In May 2025, I completed the Contemporary Painting and Drawing Modules at the Royal Hibernian Academy of Arts.
In April 2024, I founded Yana’s Creativity and Wellness, a project that unites art and mindful living. Through this initiative, I offer art and wellness workshops in Dublin, art classes at the Dublin Drawing School, private art tutorials, as well as corporate wellness workshops and art workshops for special occasions.
Beyond painting, I am passionate about performance and movement. I am an actress with the Ukrainian Theatre in Dublin (CU Theatre), where we organize charity performances that merge art, storytelling, and support for Ukraine. I also work as an administrator and teaching assistant at Trinity Dance School, where I help support both students and instructors.
Dance is an essential part of my creative life — I actively practice salsa and bachata, regularly attending dance congresses and events across Ireland. In 2025, I became a semi-finalist at the Bachata Competition of the Dublin Sensual Festival.
Meditation, yoga, and dance are my tools for connecting body and soul — practices that help me maintain inner balance and continually return to creativity as a source of healing, inspiration, and joy.
